Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club

A stretch of Australian sand belt transplanted to the Sonoran Desert, laid out by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley with Fred Couples on 320 acres that once belonged to the Ak-Chin Indian Community. More than a hundred bunkers cut diagonals across wide fairways, demanding honest assessment of every carry. The Community reacquired the land in 2010 and opened it to public play.
