Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use CaddieTrail. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to update that information as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

CaddieTrail offers paid subscription plans. The following terms apply to subscriptions and payments.

Annual subscription

Member plans are billed on an annual basis. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize CaddieTrail to charge your payment method the applicable annual fee at the start of each billing period.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each annual billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may receive a renewal reminder via email before your renewal date. Renewal charges are made at the then-current standard rate, except where a locked Founding Member rate applies (see below).

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time directly from your account settings. Navigate to Settings, then Subscription, and select Cancel Membership. Your Member access continues through the end of your current paid period. No refund is issued for the remaining portion of the billing period. Cancellation is self-serve — no emails, no calls required.

Refund policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at hello@caddietrail.com within 14 days of the charge and we will review your request.

Founding Member pricing

Founding Members who subscribed during the founding pricing window (through October 31, 2026) receive their founding annual rate for as long as their membership remains continuously active. The founding rate applies to each auto-renewal and will not increase due to standard price changes while that continuity is maintained.

The founding rate is forfeited if your membership lapses, is cancelled, or is not renewed at the scheduled renewal date. A lapsed membership that is later reactivated will be charged at the then-current standard rate. CaddieTrail reserves the right to discontinue founding pricing for memberships that are cancelled and restarted.

Price changes

CaddieTrail may change subscription prices. For subscribers on standard (non-founding) pricing, we will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it takes effect at your next renewal. Founding Members are not affected by standard price increases while their membership remains continuously active.

Payment processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. CaddieTrail does not store your full payment card details on our servers. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and may attempt to retry the charge. Failure to provide a valid payment method may result in suspension or cancellation of your subscription.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload or transmit unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or objectionable content
• Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service or related systems
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service without our prior written consent
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

5. User Content

CaddieTrail allows you to log course check-ins, add notes, and build a golf profile ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant CaddieTrail a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and display your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service. You are solely responsible for your User Content.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by CaddieTrail LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services (such as payment processors). Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. CaddieTrail is not responsible for their practices.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. COURSE INFORMATION, RANKINGS, AND TRAIL DATA ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CADDIETRAIL LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CADDIETRAIL IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CaddieTrail LLC from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
