Working alongside Robert Hunter on the West Coast and Perry Maxwell through the middle of the country, MacKenzie's American decade ran from a Marin County meadow to the Georgia pines, taking in the Monterey coast, the Oklahoma prairie, the sand hills above Lake Michigan and two university campuses. Three are open to any golfer without a member's invitation. No passport required.
