Ten courses bearing the design hand of James Braid — five-time Open Champion turned the most prolific architect Scotland has produced. The trail runs from Ayrshire links through the Fife coast and Perthshire moorland to the Cairngorms and the far north, taking in three Open Championship venues alongside heathland, parkland and hidden-gem country clubs. Braid built for the ground in front of him rather than a signature style, which is why no two stops here feel alike. Most welcome visitors; a handful ask you to plan ahead.
