Kiawah Island's Ocean Course, Whistling Straits, and Bethpage Black are the three public gems — all bucket-list worthy and bookable. The other nine — Valhalla, Southern Hills, Oak Hill, Hazeltine, Baltusrol, Medinah, Atlanta Athletic Club, Oakland Hills, and Quail Hollow — are all private. Nine of twelve venues require member access or serious connections.
