Seven courses that have hosted the U.S. Senior Open more than once — and six of them are Donald Ross designs. The championship, founded in 1980, keeps returning to Golden Age ground: Scioto, where Bobby Jones won the 1926 U.S. Open and Jack Nicklaus learned the game; Inverness and Salem, Ross classics north of Toledo and Boston; Oakland Hills' Monster; Pinehurst No. 2, which hosted back-to-back in 1993 and 1994. The Broadmoor's East Course climbs to 6,400 feet in the Colorado foothills, and Herbert Strong's Saucon Valley Old is the lone non-Ross layout. Broadmoor and Pinehurst are playable without a member.
