Virginia's top 20 is a geographically diverse trail stretching from the D.C. suburbs to the Appalachian highlands — Kinloch and Ballyhack near Richmond and Roanoke anchor the private side, while Primland, the Cascades at Homestead, and Golden Horseshoe offer resort access to some of the most scenic golf in the Mid-Atlantic. The trail splits between the Blue Ridge mountain country to the west and the rolling Piedmont and Northern Virginia corridor to the east, with Pete Dye's River Course at Virginia Tech and Royal New Kent adding public options worth the drive.
